YAA celebrates greater awareness of ocean environmental issues and the talent of our teen designers in style with the 15th Annual Fashion Fundraiser Oceans Restyled. Witness YAA’s most creative runway show yet as talented teen designers debut their original garments made from recycled materials representing an Ocean Environmental Issue of their choice. For over three decades Young At Art has inspired generations of artists to find their own artistic voice. On Saturday, April 2nd from 5-8pm guests will be amazed at the talent and creativity of local teen designers ages 13-18 who will showcase their sustainable, recycled, couture fashions in a NY style fashion show. Teen designers in YAA’s Volunteer Program and Girls Empowered Program at PACE Center Broward receive free college level coursework from Young At Art with introductory design, pattern-making and sewing. 100% of net proceeds from the fashion show benefit YAA’s Programing and Community Initiatives that serve low-income children, families, and at-risk teen girls.
Before the curtains open on the runway, guests can enjoy interactive installations and art making experiences at YAA’s Main Museum location within Broward Mall. A selection of light bites and beverages provided by Publix, Costco, Milo’s, and Jeremiah’s Italian Ice will be available to enjoy. Adding to the excitement of the night is a virtual silent auction with entertainment options to fine art. Throughout the museum guests will find art experiences for all ages and samples from IceCream Sunscreen and more exclusive offerings for the special evening!
