Meet YAA’s Summer Camp Instructors!

Ms. Mack

Camp Coordinator

I recently earned my master’s degree and plan to continue my education in a PhD program. I love helping create a fun and welcoming environment where campers can be creative, stay active, and have an amazing summer experience.

One of my favorite artists is Wyland because of his colorful ocean and marine life artwork.

I enjoy photography, the beach, and spending time outdoors.

I’m excited for a summer full of creativity, laughter, and fun!

Ms. K

Teaching Art Exploration Mornings (Ages 5-12)

I’m an art teacher at Village Elementary, and I am absolutely thrilled to join the YAA family!

With experience guiding students from ages 3 to 11, I specialize in realistic portraiture while inspiring young artists to fearlessly explore their own unique creativity.

As Maya Angelou beautifully said, “You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.”

I can’t wait to watch your children grow in creativity and confidence through art!

Ms. Shannon

Teaching Art Exploration Afternoons (Ages 5-12)

I became an Art Educator at Young at Art Museum in 2024. I have a BFA in Fine Art and I previously taught art in elementary and middle school.

One of my favorite artists is Vincent Van Gogh.

I love painting, drawing, and mixed media.

I can’t wait to see the masterpieces our YAA campers will create this summer!

Ms. Sue

Teaching Drawing, Painting, Mixed Media and Fashion Design Camps (Ages 9-15)

I am the Art Teacher for Discovery Elementary School. I am also a Young At Art Museum art class instructor for Painting & Drawing and worked as the Lead Art Educator at YAA for over two decades.

One of my favorite artists is Salvador Dali.

I love photography and clay.

I’m looking forward to having fun and making art with my up-and-coming artists! It’s going to be colorful and we will slay all summer!

Mr. Sage

Teaching Digital Art Camps (Ages 9-15)

Sage is a multidisciplinary artist, illustrator and graphic designer. He works to find a balance between producing work that is beautiful, nuanced, but also accessible. All of Sage’s work is driven by connection, and he aspires to help others embrace their own individuality and find true community through their authentic voice within art.
