One Year In – And What a Year It’s Been!
As I reflect on my first year leading Young At Art Museum, I’m filled with pride and gratitude for all we’ve accomplished together.

In just 12 months, we’ve made some incredible strides:

  • Launched 4 new interactive exhibits that invite visitors of all ages to play, explore, and express themselves.
  • Doubled our birthday party bookings, bringing more creativity and celebration into the museum.
  • Expanded community outreach and partnerships, making deeper connections across South Florida.
  • Hosted our most participated Recycled Fashion Show in the last 5 years, spotlighting creativity, sustainability, and youth voices.

Beyond the numbers, this year has been about reshaping YAA’s image—honoring our legacy while boldly stepping into the future. We’ve focused on filling the gaps in local art education, creating meaningful bonding moments for families, and ensuring art remains accessible to all.

And on a personal note, it was a full-circle moment for me to lead the walk with University of Miami graduates this spring, representing both my alma mater and my passion for education and the arts.

Here’s to another year of innovation, imagination, and impact at Young At Art. Thank you for being part of the journey!
With creativity and love,

“Have been to this museum many times with my grandchildren and they love the place. However, I feel I have to write a review about today’s visit. All the staff working were remarkable. They engaged the children and actively participated in the arts and crafts. They could not have been more helpful or thoughtful, offering encouragement and helpful suggestions. I did manage to get one name—Hunter—who was exceptional. Such a fun day! Will be back again soon.”
