Teaching artist Ms. Sue will level up your skills with her fun and engaging drawing and painting techniques! Illustrator and Animator Mr. Manny teaches all things digital with special surprises each session to bring Illustrations to life! Artist Melissa Kady is all about exploring expression and getting messy in the process of mixed media!

Rock'n Noon Year's Eve!
Wednesday, December 31 from 10am–2pm
Join us for a rockin’ family celebration featuring a live DJ STEVE, bubbles, party hat-making, and an epic balloon drop at noon! Dress in your funkiest, flashiest, or most rock ‘n’ roll outfit and dance out your sillies as we count down to the new year together—YAA-style!
All activities are included with general admission.

Explore and shop unique art pieces created by young artists at the Children's Artists Booths. Get hands-on with interactive art exhibits at YAA, where museum admission is discounted to just $5 for the day! Students from grades K-12 will showcase their visual and literary talents at individual booths. Meet these rising artists, support their work, and celebrate YAA’s mission to provide a platform for young, creative voices in our community.

YAA’s Family Comic Con is a free all-ages celebration of fandom, cosplay, and creativity! Come dressed as your favorite characters and explore artist alley, rare collectibles, limited-edition comics, and fan-favorite merch. Meet local creators, snap epic cosplay photos, and enjoy a family-friendly con experience like no other!

Every Second Wednesday 4-5PM
A FREE monthly family event at Young At Art Museum featuring storytime and a themed art activity. Kids and grown-ups can enjoy a fun book reading and create art together. Free books are also provided thanks to NSU Alvin Sherman Library.
Sensory Fun at YAA!
FREE Every 2nd Saturday from 10am to 12pm
Our friends from ABA Centers of Florida will be there!
YAA is a CARD Autism Friendly Partner. Our staff is CARD trained to help those with sensory sensitivities and people of all abilities. We have sensory kits with tools to check out for those who need additional support.

Very Young At Art: Mommy & Me
Thursday: May 21 | 2:30–3:15 PM
Hosted by Round Robin Playgroups, this special program is designed for our tiniest artists (ages 0–24 months) and their grown-ups. Enjoy music, movement, art, and sensory play in a warm, welcoming space — plus open play afterwards! Build bonds, make friends, and explore creativity together.

Looking Ahead: A Message from CEO Traci Leon + Interview
As I approach my second year as CEO of Young At Art Museum, I’m incredibly proud of the momentum we’ve built together. We’ve expanded our community partnerships, welcomed new board members and strengthened board engagement, and refined our financial practices to ensure long-term sustainability. We’ve also built a strong core team and added outstanding new staff who bring fresh energy and creativity to our mission. With a capital campaign launching soon to support future expansion, the future of YAA is bright. I’m excited for what’s ahead as we continue growing, innovating, and making art accessible to every child and family we serve.

Creative Cathy's Art House
Presented by Totsy Tinkers
FREE Opening Party on Saturday, June 20 | 2-4pm
Creative Cathy’s Art House at Young At Art Museum is an immersive, hands-on maker exhibit where children can tinker, build, and explore creativity without fear of being “wrong.” The year-long experience features monthly activations and new characters from the Totsy Tinker World, giving families fresh ways to engage all year. Beyond art-making, the exhibit focuses on character education and emotional development, helping kids build confidence, resilience, and empathy through playful discovery.

"SEA YAA": under the ocean and explore the reef!
Dive into creativity with YAA’s Mobile Museum! Bring an exciting underwater adventure right to you and explore coral reefs and marine life through an immersive mobile art exhibit, hands-on art workshops, and engaging educational demos focused on reef habitats and ocean conservation.
It’s a fun and inspiring way to learn about the sea—no field trip needed; we bring the magic to you!

YAA Summer Camp!
June 8 - August 7
A creative adventure for ages 5–15! Campers explore drawing, painting, clay, mixed media, digital art, and more through exciting weekly themes, guest artist workshops, museum exploration, dress-up days, and Friday gallery showcases. Small groups, real art instruction, and unforgettable summer fun await!

At YAA we integrate art into accessible educational activities that infuse excitement with interaction! We offer FIELD TRIPS, CLASSROOM OUTREACHES, and ART EXPERIENCES AT YOUR SCHOOL tailored for each age group and grade level. All programs are geared towards the 21st century learner! YAA’s educational method incorporates hands-on art activities with Common Core Florida Standards, engaging critical thinking for students of all abilities.

They engaged the children and actively participated in the arts and crafts. They could not have been more helpful or thoughtful, offering encouragement and helpful suggestions. I did manage to get one name—Hunter—who was exceptional. Such a fun day! Will be back again soon.”
