Recycled Fashion Show

Young At Art Museum is thrilled to present our fiercest fashion show yet! Mark your calendar for the 13th Annual Recycled Fashion Show | Wild Restyled. Join us in celebrating the creativity and voice of teens from the museum’s Volunteer Program and PACE Center Broward, an alternative high school for at-risk teen girls.

Each year we challenge teens to design sustainable fashions that bring awareness to environmental issues using recycled materials. This year designers will be asked to create wearable garments inspired by endangered animals and incorporate aspects of our new exhibition LightScapes by acclaimed Miami-based artist Haiiileen.

Our teen designers devote an average of 70+ hours creating their outfits and participate in Make It Work Days that include college level coursework in fashion design, concept development and pattern making. The culmination of their hard work is a professional runway show where they will debut their garments. Artistic experiences, culinary delights and music complete this colorful evening.
